Allied Health Sciences
Welcome to Southern University at Shreveport's Division of Allied Health. In keeping with the mission of the University, the Division is committed to educational excellence through the promotion of an environment that values cultural diversity, professionalism, and community service. The division maintains partnerships with health care organizations throughout its service area in an effort to remain current with cutting-edge technology.
The Division is committed to providing the best possible allied health education at a reasonable cost. Teaching excellence and concern for the individual student is the heart of our existence. We are here to serve the students in their pursuit of careers in health-related professions.
As the largest and most diversified overall instructional unit at the University, the Division of Allied Health is a division of the Office of Allied Health and offers seven (7) associate degrees and five (5) certificate programs. These programs prepare competent, entry-level health care personnels who possess the knowledge, skills and attitudes consistent with the expectations of the public and the profession.
